It's been almost a year since this shoot, but it's probably worth getting telling this story.

The idea behind this shoot was to take baroque styling (given a limited budget) and try and tell the story of two young girls, excited but trepidatious, at the prospect of their first ball.

I wanted to give the impression of natural light in an old hall, so lighting was a single studio strobe, through a large octabox.

(I'm hoping to extend the theme to other characters, but we'll see how that goes ...)
